Ghana Week Eight

Updates from this week:

Tuesday: One of my coworkers has a friend that is a seamstress. My coworker had taken me to get some fabric a few weeks ago because I was wanting to get a skirt made. I wanted some Ghanaian fabric but nothing too colorful. On Tuesday, we visited her friend and got my measurements for the skirt.

Friday: I went back to the seamstress to get my skirt on Friday. I was amazed that she was able to finish it by the end of the day on Thursday! It is so beautiful and she did such a wonderful job! It also has pockets!! I love it and I’m so excited to show my friends at work! Haha they have been wanting to see me wear some Ghanaian style clothing for a little while now, so very thankful for the sweet gift!

Sadly, my power adapter stopped working when I got home on Wednesday night. So, I had to stop at the mall on Friday and get another one. I also went into a store called Banana. It is an electronics store, but they sell clothing, accessories, and stationary too. I took an artsy photo of some sunglasses cause I thought they were pretty cool (but don’t think I could pull them off lol).

Sunday: Bailey and I went to church at Agape House in Accra again. After church, we went to a restaurant called Starbites, near the airport. Two Americans, who are currently staying in Ghana took us there, and it was very good. I got a crispy chicken wrap with fries! And a strawberry milkshake for dessert! My first milkshake in Ghana, and 10/10 would recommend!
