Hello & happy August! I decided to take a break over the summertime to rest and spend time with family and friends over the states. My parents and I visited North Carolina for a bit, and it truly reignited my love for the outdoors. We got to see some wonderful views!

Over the summer, the Lord continually challenged me and grew me to be present and be still. To not always be looking forward to the next thing, and to not get overwhelmed with the whole staircase in front of me.
This is something I continually am trying to apply in my life, and some days are much easier than others (isn’t that how it goes).
Especially with a new month and a new school year for some, I think it is so easy for us to become overwhelmed by all that is going to occur in the next coming weeks or months. It’s easy to not see the full picture, but to become worried or anxious about how everything will play out.
However, what if we tried to remain present one day at a time? What if we could fully enjoy THIS DAY by not spending all our time worrying about the next day?
This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it. – Psalm 118:24
What can you do to be intentional about rejoicing in today? How can you this month dig deep into each day, taking it slow and being present in each moment? How can you spend time reflecting on the gratefulness and the faithfulness of the Lord to bring you to today?
While in Christ, we are longing for an eternal hope and our true home to come. However, while we are alive in Christ on this earth, we get to choose how to live day by day. I hope today you can find peace, joy, and gratefulness in where the Lord has you.
With love,
Claire
