Who He Says You Are

Hi ya friends! Today, I wanted to discuss the topic of worth in regards to singleness.

At times, we may fall in the trap of letting earthly materials or statuses dictate our worth. Recently, I have been falling more into the lie that my season of singleness dictates my worth. I can let the enemy’s lies tell me that because of my relationship status, I am not as beautiful, successful, or worthy as those who are in relationships.

But, your singleness does not define your worth or your status. It does not define if you’re beautiful, successful, or worthy of a relationship. It doesn’t define who God says you are.

God already said you were chosen because He died on the cross for you & proved it.

Your singleness is not about your worth but instead about what God wants to do through you in this season – how He wants to grow your character and faith. The people who He wants to put in front of you to love and disciple. The season that you find yourself in is not about your worth but instead His will. So pray boldly and ask God to open the doors to use your singleness for His glory.

God is always working. Always moving even when we don’t see all the “behind-the-scenes” details. We may get frustrated or discouraged by our insecurities, allowing us to think we aren’t worthy enough to make a difference. However, God reminds us in His Word that you were created for a purpose, and you are chosen in His nation to make a difference. So today, I want to leave you with some Scripture that you can take for the week as encouragement.

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” – Psalm 139:13-14

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” – 1 Peter 2:9

“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31

“And I am sure of this; that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” – Philippians 1:6

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:10

With love,

Claire
