Does life ever feel overwhelming some times? Like there are so many things you have to do all in one day and you have to have like five cups of coffee to get through it all. Or you have like three tests all in one week and you study and study for them but you still don’t feel confident about any of it. Life sometimes seems to come at us all of the sudden. We get so caught up in our worldly events that go on throughout our lives and we lean on our friends, family, and even ourselves for help when really we need to cast it all on God. No, I’m not saying you can’t talk to your friends and family about your problems or your life, but we seem to forget that we need talk to God about it too.
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:17.
We sometimes forget that He is there and He wants to talk to you about your life and what all is going on in it. He wants you to go to Him when you are stressed or overwhelmed or discouraged because He wants to have an open relationship with you.
In Philippians 4:6, it says “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
In this verse it says “in every situation” meaning in every situation when you are worried, stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, etc., go to Him through prayer. Let Him help you. Let Him show you that you can find peace in the trouble times and that in the end, it is all going to work out the way He wants it to. We have to keep in mind that the Lord has so much more for us in store. He has a plan and He always has that plan for us in constant motion. Every decision and every moment you make in your life is leading to that plan. We have to have faith in Him and not get discouraged by what happens in this life. And that is so much easier said than done. Some days the littlest things can get you down, but you have to rely and lean on Him because He should be the most important role model and person in your life.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” – John 14:27
